Pettit Stein LLP is the culmination of a dream that began a quarter century ago. Teri Stein and Eric Pettit met as students at Stanford Law School teaching incarcerated teenagers about their legal rights. They subsequently became moot court partners, and eventually, life partners. After spending a year apart during federal court clerkships (Teri at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Eric at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts), they honed their respective skills at prestigious law firms while starting a family together. Twenty-five years and two children later, Teri and Eric were finally able to reestablish their legal partnership through Pettit Stein LLP, where they devote their decades of experience to achieving the best possible outcomes for their clients. Although many things have changed over their years together, Teri and Eric’s unwavering commitment to justice has not.
